There was an article quite some time ago about a homesick maid wanting to go home. She ended up threathing her employer by holding her employer's son hostage and demanded a plane ticket to go home.
She wanted to go home desperately as she missed her family and her children back home. And also, she has never been away from home and could not adjust to the change. Therefore, she grabbed her employer's eight-month-old baby and threathened to kill him with a pair of scissors. Her employers have no choice but to agree to it. But in the end, the maid got arrested in the airport and she didnt get to go back home.
I feel that domestic helpers nowadays should be more mentally prepeared to leave their homes to work in a different environment. If they are trained and prepared, there will not be such incidents happening as such incidents could threathen the life of an innocent baby.
